Backbends, Twists, & asking "How do I listen to myself & others?"

Service Description We begin reclined in Supta Baddha Konasana (reclined bound angle pose), imagining tracing around our frame to help center and ground. We spend some time stretching the neck, and finding openness across the back, chest, and ribs. Next, we spend time being inverted a bit in Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward-facing dog) and Uttananasa (forward fold) before rising up to standing and exploring different foot placements in Virabhadrasana I (warrior I). Class ends with a meditation on passages from "Emergent Strategy" by adrienne maree brown, asking ourselves "How do I listen to others? As if everyone was my teacher, speaking to me their cherished last words."
