Finding Expansiveness in Our Thoughts, Emotional Capacity, & Body
https://youtu.be/ckA371MLIic In this class, we invite expansiveness on multiple levels: in our thought space, in our hearts and our emotional capacity, and in our movements. We invite a settling as we take a snapshot of our breath, observing the pause after inhalation and exhalation, then spend 60 seconds together in silent meditation. We move the body between Bharmanasana (table pose) and Balasana (child's pose), then Marjariasana (cat) and Bitilasana (cow) to warm up, before moving into Adho Mukha Svanasana (downward facing dog). We explore warmth in a flow between Virabhadrasana II (warrior II) and other lunge-like shapes, twists in low-lunge, and Ardha Kapotasana (half pigeon). We bring it back down towards the earth with Urdhva Mukha Pasasana (thread the needle), and a kneeling Ardha Chandrasana (half moon) balance. Class ends with us linking the idea of expansiveness to the breath, reading sutras 1.2 and 1.3.
